Andreas Liebmann  Artistic Director

Swiss performance artist, author and researcher in Copenhagen. Artistic director of ‘Tårnby Park Studio’. As an author, director and performance artist, he has been responsible for numerous theatre and radio play works in German-speaking countries in the independent scene and in municipal theatres. With his pan-European performance collective I Am A Permanent Member, he develops process-based platforms for collaborative learning and poetic workshopping. He has been teaching idea-based and conceptual teaching at DDSKS Copenhagen since 2015. His artistic research deals with questions of public space in relation to performance practice. Tårnby Park Studio emerged as an institutional performance from his previous work, inviting artists and neighbours to shape this nascent public space. With his artistic partner Boaz Barkan, he develops pleasant theatre works about unpleasant topics, most recently ‘Don't pay your debts’ at the festival ‘Managing Discomfort’ at Husets Theatre/Toaster.

What do you believe is the most fundamental aspect of human nature, and why?
We are creatures from the planet earth and endlessly woven in its processes.

Do you have any exciting plans for the upcoming weekend?
I am travelling to Vienna by train just for seeing a theatre show. I drive down friday, spend saturday in Vienna and travel back sunday. Pure luxury, absolutely useless, without any expected outcome exept, hopefully, joy, and some echo of my artistic spirits. Thank you to my family for giving me a little personal holiday.

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go and why?
I would go on a revenge mission all over the world, catch all the people and technlologies ruining the future of our planet with all its species and shoot them with a rocket into the universe.
