We, non performers, are a performance duo consisting of Selma Nysom Sandhagen (studying BA in Dance, Choreography and Context in Berlin at HZT) and Julie Elisabeth Villumsen (studying BA in Dance Performance in Stockholm at SKH). We share an artistic interest in developing utopian and immersive performance formats where we can explore intimacy, sensuality and collectivity. Right now we are developing a tender role-play; a speculative investigation of resistance and pleasure based on LARP (live action role play). The theory has a focus on bodily experience, imagination and collective worldbuilding, which can help us in the creation of alternative conceptions of the hero and other archetypes. In this playful universe of fictional characters and objects, we will investigate what happens when they flow into our own bodily and relational experiences, and whether this can open up new understandings of struggle, eroticism and community.
