About the PROJECT
“A mouthful of ponder (working title) is a new work which borrows plenty from old work. For me, it’s familiar yet not. It’s an investigation for one dancer in service of dance’s virality and the prospect of unveiling the poetic and emotional potential of intuition and ambiguity. In practice, the work encompasses dance, music, song and text. Electronic pop songs and poems. Some silent screaming and a look.
The interest lies in the spaces between voice, breathing, body and words, and how spending time listening and naming can evoke a moving relationship to meaning and subjectivity. By working with poeticizing for voice and bodily practice, the project continuously studies how choreography and dance can become space for generous dialogue with audiences and poetic sense-making. “
